Bill Rogers said it was due to the contracts, Knotz said it was due to the contracts, and Sean Schemmel recently said he couldn't reprise Lucario in Brawl due to contracts and was never offered. If the old cast were offered the chance to jump ship from 4Kids, Rachel Lillis implied in her old Yahoo fangroup that she, at least, would have broke it or would have at least seriously considered it (when Rogers said it was due to the contracts, Rachel responded with "he doesn't know what he's talking about, contracts are NOT impermeable. This just makes it even more of a mess."). Blaustein responded to Cathcart on Serebii when he said they were offered and stated that was incorrect. When you listen to these people talk about these roles and how they were fired, they're not the words of people who had a choice.
Not sure where you're getting this idea where they were offered in the first place unless "you're" at it again.
