The first three episodes of HZ are peak anipoke in large part because the dynamic between Amethio and Liko was so different than other hero-villain things that Pokemon's used. I'll admit being a bit chafed that Liko was actually standing up to Amethio on her own now, since it still feels too soon, but I'll give the writers credit for having them not fight directly since episode 6.
