Last widely appreciated Gen was Gen 4 which was the last good Gen.
Gen 6 babies are growing up and becoming more vocal online, so they appear as the majority despite not being the majority at all.
Same exact thing happened with Gen 5, which is why you see a ridculous amount of people wanking off those games nowadays when it was hated on release.
Soon we will see the same with Gen 7 towards the end of Gen 9. Don't worry about it too much. The objective truth is that HGSS are the best games in the series.
