It's fine for people to be annoyed, certainly. And it's fine for them to voice their opinion, too. It's jsut the same as how it's fine for someone to hate the inclusion of megas, and to state that. But when someone arrogantly declares their opinion is superior, proceed to attack people purely because they want to do things a different way and attempt to sabotage the stream because they don't want anyone else to enjoy it if they can't, then they've warranted their right to be treated with respect or be taken seriously.
This issue isn't restricted to 4chan, the site with a generally vicious, argumentative userbase, either. It's also taking place in more hugboxy places like Reddit and Tumblr, so this can't be chalked up to 4channers being 4channers.
