I can 'get good' instead by GRINDING, again that isn't actually getting good that simply increasing numbers until they are higher then the other guys. Thats what you do in every rpg ever, its not hard at all a baby can do it. Me however I don't want to spend time doing that I'd rather skip the mission until I'm forced to do it get more missions.
The point was the game fucks you by giving you missions where you maybe level 10 being sent to take down somebody who is level 50 with no warning that their level is that high in a dungeon everybody is your level. That isn't difficulty that is called bullshit mechanics. I'd say the monster houses are too but I never actually got killed in one the AI goes after my partners half time and I bail on them.
