I didn't notice the first time I played through, but if you try to change the panels it was say that for some reason the transceiver is still connected and it will work. The first time though everyone in my party fucking died except for Golurk until I managed to clear a path to the exit past all these puzzles and I went back to heal.
The weird yellow/green arrow things switch directions when you use them once.
