Pikachu in SM has felt a lot closer to fat Pikachu from Kanto. It looks mischievious, grumpy, cute.

I swear it's made more expressions in the 13 episode of SM so far then it has in the last 10 years. Hopefully this Pikachu is around for good. But not only that, combined this Pikachus expressions with XY/DP Pikachus leadership/maturity and battling skills and you'd have the best iteration of it yet.

A confident battler who is a killer on the battlefield but chill as fuck on the side and has no problem playing the straight man? That would be fucking perfect.
