>>56233956>I don't know how they expect me to beat that gym with nothing but shitmons when it's a double battle with every member of the enemy team knowing retaliate.I agree that the fight is extraordinarily difficult for a 2nd gym battle, but I'm not kidding when I say you have more than enough unique fighting types nearby to make a full team of 6 if so compelled, you can even find a Heracross! That's not even counting the fighting type evos of Torchic, Chimchar, and Tepig nearby too.
Grinding up temp mons isn't too hard with Audino appearing in shaking grass + the instant grass shake code Drayano included in the docs. I also don't judge people using rare candies to avoid grinding in spots like these personally.
>The strict level cap that means I have to skip fights or raise an entire second team just to make sure I don't go over some arbitrary level cap.I'm not gonna lie, you completely lost me. Drayano hacks don't have hard level caps like lots of modern hacks too (kinda wish they had the option though lol). It sounds like some Pokemon Reborn shit -- needing common candies to reduce levels, or accidentally overlevelling an in-game trade mon.
The closest thing that comes to mind is gen 5's altered exp formula, but I don't think that's what you're talking about, right?
Were you playing with custom self-set rules? Did you play an altered version of BBVW? I'm perplexed anon, positively puzzled.
Alsoooooooo, since you're playing a romhack that doesn't overhaul/disassemble the code you can easily edit the levels of your team with PKHeX, in case you didn't know.
Anyways, don't wanna be annoying or try to convince you if you already made up your mind anon, but Drayano hacks still give you lots of tools to at least handle the bullshit... if you ever feel the tug of nostalgia again that is.
