>>35277344Yellow has definitely been a lot more deadly than red and blue were. After we defeated Surge we made our way through Diglett Cave to grab flash. Everything was going fine until we encountered The Boss. A level 31 Dugtrio that we barely managed to escape from with just one death. Butter heroically gave his life so the others may live. He will be missed.
We began our long and arduous trek through rock tunnel, lead by the newly joined Plum. We had some more loss. I let my guard down and Tawny caught a selfdestruct head-on. Taken before his time...
After this string of deaths I was in a fairly rough spot. Without Sable to deal with rock and ground types we would have never made it out of that cave. When we finally reached Lavender I decided it was time to bolster our ranks and trained up Spice and Ginger. Spice didn't last very long though. Due to the power of confusion and my not really paying attention she perished at the fins of a lowly Goldeen. This was a particularly heavy blow since she was my ace for Erika.
We trudged our way to Celadon bruised but not broken and decided to gamble our troubles away at the slots, where we managed to win big and hire a mercenary named Hickory. After putting a stop to Team Rocket's nefarious plots it was time for Celadon gym. Thankfully Plum pulled in the clutch and carried us through, evolving just before the battle to give us the power we need.
Now the hard part of the game comes. I'm definitely going to do some grinding before heading down to cycling road, hopefully I'll catch a decent water type soon.
