ren in general is just a giant fucking mess of a character. apparently nobody at xen seems to be keeping any tabs on him, he doesn't seem to have the same 'you can get autokilled if you try to leave' like the regular grunts either, so why didn't he do what he did in chapter 13 earlier and just basically defect? so we could have all the between-chapter scenes where he trains with neved or whatever the fuck?
