>>47153022The franchise has been so bad since ORAS killed all remaining hype and goodwill in the fandom for so long that now Gen 1-5 fans are turning on each other and just using reductive arguments to cling to their shriveled corners of childhood nostalgia. Its really sad and its what happens when a decade or more passes without a SINGLE good game everyone could at least meet with halfway. You see this phenomena play out quite clearly with Sonic (The different faction of Classic/Modern/Archie/Boost/Shonen/Adventurefags). A lot of infighting where Sega can no longer appease anyone or agree on a new course of direction everyone would love.
I hope Legends will be the game to unite the fanbase once more but I am seriously doubting it the more time passes by.
