This section boils down to beating the stuffing out of the full-power teams of all of May's rivals in sequence. It'd have been far more impactful if the game made an attempt to make me actually care about what May's been doing. I know I'm a broken record at this point, but the lack of traveling companions is this game's biggest flaw by a large margin.
