and how everyone in HGSS seems to be for this union of nations with the same league and bullet train connection, they almost appear to be one. I don't want to say empire or nation state because I'm really not sure what to call it. But at the very least, besides the difference in name and culture, they seem to act as a single entity. Only one E4 when other regions have their own respective leagues makes me think it could be close to an economic superpower, with all the resources in Kanto and Johto shared through legislation to maximize efficiency. Especially when Silph Co. is as big as it is and Olivine/Vermillion both being port cities.
