In his setting each Pokemon League, Gym Challenges, and E4 is structured differently from another, for example in his settings Alolan region, Trainers are expected to fight side by side their Pokemon in battles in a full contact battle, he'd do incredibly well in those. Though he'd lose against the Alolan Champion most likely as that dude (An cool Jedi from the Hoenn Region named Donny) is just as powerful as he was one of the other OC's in Brent's group who helped kill Arceus. If its the Sinnoh Challenge, he'd struggle against the E4 (As they were also a part of the 18) and would 100% lose against the Champion because the champion is blessed by Victini and can never lose a battle. But damn if he wouldn't put up a good fight with all these Fairies. If its another one that's a more traditional Pokemon v Pokemon...he could probably reach the Champion status, considering everything they've all been through.
If got that title he'd give that title of "Champion" to his Pokemon companions as he's just their hype man. Lucy would love it.
