And that's Saphire done with that all gen 3 games finished too.
The final part of the game went off without much trouble. Team Aqua was no threat. Bacon, Silky and Dish dealt with Wallace no issue and Victory Road was obnoxious but that's all, so it was quickly time for the E4.
Had the coverage to deal with Sidney easily but Phoebe and Glacia were bigger threats. Insidious crunched most of the ghosts (with Flipper beating the Sableye). I remembered Phoebe's ace Dusclops having earthquake so quickly switched Seviper out. I did not remember it having Ice Beam though, so poor Hydra got hit with that straight on and went down. Glacia nearly killed Insidious, Flipper and Dish but Silky and Bacon saved the day taking down Walrein together. Then Dish and Flipper tore through Drake with their ice moves.
Steven was tough as nails, was forced to let both Insidious and Dish go down to ensure Flipper could come in fresh against Steven's Metagross. And even a fresh Swampert still nearly went down in their slug-out but my boy Flipper pulled through and came out on top.
Always sad about final losses, but I stated at the start of the run that my main goal was to bring Dustox to the end and by God I did it. Little guy didn't do much during the E4 but it did solo Wallace's milotic and helped fight Glacia's Walrein and Steven's Cradily, so it contributed!
I'm still in the mood to nuzlocke, thinking about playing DP next. I do have it on console and I do like saving my nuzlocke mons, not sure if I'm up for playing without a speedup though.
>>57241181I concur, Hoenn's victory road is miserable. You forgot about the always critting air cutters btw.
Congrats on winning your saphire run too, sad to see Darkrai and Clodsire died at the end.
>>57242858Recovery is nice, but I find Rest a bit too unreliable in nuzlockes usually and prefer the security of Sawk's Sturdy. Never thought the prospect of a guts rest build though, sounds fun.
