If we had ways to add notes or choose favourite pokemon for battles or anything like that, I'd be more likely to actually name pokemon properly
as it is, I use the name slot as a note system

implement proper tracking and people won't be scanning all the time
I understand that you can roughly track with the sightings system and I used to be a huge proponent for it myself, but the inconsistencies with the sightings behaviour make it unreliable and unfeasible in many situations depending on your location
