Instead, fossil mons that do exist here retain their original typing (don't ask me how they got to alola in the first place, how about a wizard did it). Therefore Aerodactyl is dragon/flying, kabutops is water/bug and omastar is pure water or water/steel.
Of course aerodactyl has already been shown in trailers, so it's not going to happen, but it'd still be neat.
