>>25020628It's a lot more interesting when you go through with a whole story in mind. I really did take Mawile on my run through with the mindset that she'd probably be really interested in doing research on the place. The two hours I did spend there were mostly figuring out how the place was designed so that it wasn't entirely boring, which was mostly by having shitloads of the OST and different areas all packed in with a few interesting reference appearances. The most difficult part about writing it was keeping a narrative while staying canon in the order in which the areas appeared, figuring out what the eye-candy of an area would actually mean if in a literary format. All the rest came naturally since dirt-and-grime adventure is kind of my jam.
Speaking of which, semi-romantic adventure rough draft being created five inches from my keyboard right now. Expect chapter one of funnelcake smugleaf happenings eventually.
