I didn't say the best pokemon anime, but the only good anime.
And then again, only the first part of the season because it's fast paced and they didn't know what to do with it ; so the episodes either nicely referencethe game or they do their own things.
Around the episodes 40 or so they understood they could just cram everything with Team rocket fillers and it went downhill real fast.
Of course I mean the overall quality of the anime. Maybe AG or DP have better individual episodes, but does it matters if it's drowning among 90+ episodes of "travelling a forest"-tier fillers?
