>>19880117Well, a lot of cool bros didn't make it this run. Some hurt really bad. My first death was the Bidoof. He died to two critical hit Tackles from the Shinx that is right next to him lol. The Shinx got blown the fuck out by a critical hit Low Kick in the beginning routes.
Shellos, Kiralia, and Luxio were all killed in the Ace Trainer double battle before Hearthome. Shellos and Luxio were close to evolving I believe, so that hurt. The Haunter was chosen to fill in one of the gaps left after that battle, and he died when I was grinding him. I was running a 4 'mon team for a bit after that until I got some good catches.
Then I lost my starter to the next ace trainer double battle up in the fog area. Forgot that the Gyrados knew Ice Fang. Rip.
Lucario wasn't up the par with the rest of the team when I started using him, but I thought "hey it's a Lucario, it's still good even if it's a few levels underleveled". Nope, he got axed, but I don't remember how.
Snover was BLOWN THE FUCK OUT by a Clefairy's Metronome that chose BLAST BURN, 1 level before it evolved into Abomosnow. It's funny in retrospect.
Crobat got smoked by Candice's Mamoswine which I forgot had Stone Edge.
My Rapidash was the oldest member on the team, but died from a Critical hit Poison Jab from the commander's Skuntank up in the Spear Pillar double battle. Then Golem was my next oldest bro, but he died to the first trainer in Victory Road lol.
Final thoughts on Platinum Nuzlocke. If you are patient and make sure you're team is properly leveled for the boss fights, you should do okay as long as you use your brain. If you get reckless the game destroys you. If you get hasty and push ahead without being ready, you'll get rekt. There are a lot of tough battles in the game that become pretty straightforward with a little planning and training beforehand. Regardless, it is a very enjoyable challenge and was very well worth the time. Would do it again sometime.
