>>42145349This shit again. We experimented with a rockless meta back in Gen 5. "OU No Stealth Rock" had it's own ladder and everything for a while. The results? Mons that previously performed poorly that were weak to rocks (ex: Charitard) didn't magically become viable; they remained shit. On the other hand Pokémon that performed quite well in spite of their Stealth Rock weakness (ex: Volcarona and Multiscale Dragonite) became incredibly irritating to deal with if not borderline busted. As a result, Smogon unironically endorses sneaky pebbles as a part of a balanced metagame.
