>>16404108>>16404306Personally, I would recommend using updated 2D graphics like pic related. Making a 3D game entirely is out of the grasp of almost, if not all, all of our skills. Pic related tiles are public anyways.
And while I'm a fan of ROM hacking (FireRed specifically), I would do an RPG maker game. The biggest downside to them is that they can ONLY be played in Windows operating systems, as in my experience they tend to crash when using Wine. GBA games can be played on anything that can run a GBA emulator.
>>16404334By edit maps, I mean not like how the RPG Maker map editor and Advance Map edits maps. Basically, it inserts maps, but edits the tile permissions, the scripts, the wild Pokemon data, and such.
