I genuinely have no fucking clue what happened with this franchise. I haven't really been into the games since Gen VI and I haven't bought a game since Sun/Moon but even then I thought Gen VI and VII still had a really solid group of mons.
Gen VIII on the other hand has the worst lineup of mons by a landslide and its not even fucking close. I seriously don't know what happened. Maybe I'm finally just getting too old for this series but even with the games I don't like I still thought they had mostly good new Pokemon designs until now.
