The Kalos League was trash too besides the only three on screen battles that were shown fully. We literally have 7 Pokémon Leagues to watch, if one is bad, just go watch the other much better ones.
And you can’t go “the League was good besides these battles” because you’re cherry-picking. Vast majority of the battles were one shots, lasted too long, were too short, or stretched out into two parters, and a lot of them were filled with gags or bullshit like forfeits, matches being throwed, false calls, etc.
Hell the literal first round, being the Battle Royal, had people teaming up against each other, or finding a place to hide and let the other contestants do all the work. The League was awful. Not as bad as Unova but it’s sad when the only rounds worth watching at the last two.
