Also I'm not sure if this is the right place to discuss this but I saw the brief SMT discussion I missed after work the other day and wanted to echo my sentiments about the series.
Ever since I saw nocturne in a magazine years ago and got a hold of it I've been a complete nut for this series and grabbed just about everything related to it that came stateside (which reminds me that I need to get a copy of soul hackers before it goes extinct). So far no entry in the series has been a disappointment.....they're all top notch games and a few in particular have some of the best storylines I've seen from an RPG (digital devil saga and persona 3&4 in particular stand out).
I remember when I first played nocturne I hit a huge fucking roadblock at Thor and for the first time had to go back and seriously re think the way I played the game.....after that I think I spent more time in the damn cathedral getting the right builds on demons than anything else (why can't you all be like SMT IV?)......if anything this game forced me to git gud at RPGs...I doubt I'd be this obsessive with min maxing in pokemon if it weren't for what this game started.
tldr; If you're into pokemon, pick up an SMT title.....you will not be disappointed.

I still haven't played DDS2 because I refuse to until I beat the demi fiend in 1.....but he cheats harder than the fucking battle maison....I need to go try that some more
