Maybe the mini games could have something similar to the Contest. Like, if you get to a certain combo on Head it or manage to hit a specially colored ball of yarn, the Pokemon that got the hit will Mega evolve if it's able to. When they're mega evolved, the yarn balls will start falling like fucking crazy and have major score multipliers, and once you miss a yarn ball, the frenzy mode will end. Once the mini game actually ends, if your Pokemon mega evolved, it'll stay that way until you exit out of Amie.
