>>47785528I could just talk about the bugs, but honestly they don't bother me as much as the enemy AI just throwing out attacks at random. I never noticed it as a kid but it did really sour my more recent playthroughs.
>>47785542the pokemon selection and level curve. why is Growlithe the fire dog pokemon before the ghost leader while you can't catch Houndour until Kanto? Speaking of Kanto it's a gimped version of the original which really takes away the charm of going back.
>>47785564"Too much water". I mean it. Everything up to Lilycove is actually pretty great with locales not seen in pokemon up to this point but then the last stretch is just lacking any variety outside of Pacifidlog which is a completely optional area. Also Dive should not have been an HM it limits your options for team composition having three water HMs and if the game gives you goggles to traverse a sandstorm it can just give you a scuba-type piece for underwater.
>>47785584Sinnoh's kind of ugly, Platinum fixed it, but the remakes being made to resemble the originals kind of helped me figure out why these were the games that almost had me quitting Pokemon.
>>47785596While I like the concept of the exp gain these games had the fact that so many late game pokemon end up needing so much more time devoted to them makes them not worth picking up in this or future installments. Plus while I love B2W2 for being the only games with difficulty settings the absolutely retarded means of unlocking them is unforgivable.
>>47785621Completely unmemorable. I know they started trends that I hate in the more recent games, but those recent games end up sticking out more in my mind then these two.
>>47785666The story. The game feels more like I'm on a tourist trap field trip then being an active participant in the plot.
>>47785698It'd be easier to say what I like which is that the core gameplay loop is still in tact. The worst main games so far.
