I could understand why she broke the teleporter, even if the alternate reality thing isn't true, Deoxys is proof there is life out there and there was actually a possibility they could have sent a death wish to another civilization elsewhere. The problem is it was stupid that the Rayquaza legend wasn't common knowledge and kept to only a select few dragon worshipers. She was also kind of a nutcase with her kleptomania for keystones when she could have explained the scenario to the trainers and then stole them if they didn't comply. She just wasn't very smart about the way she handled things.
