You know what I realised bothers me most about SwSh? There are so many buildings, facilities and locations which act entirely as set pieces where they have no relevance or purpose after the scene staged there ends.

They could have given the hotels some depth by having them act as places where you could stay to battle travelling/visiting trainers from other games.

They could have made that seafood restaurant another battle restaurant or something where you could go around fighting the restaurant's patrons.

They could have done so much more with the various locations of the game but they didn't because that would require effort.
