It's very amorphous in that it can be pretty much whatever you want it to be (aside from a mindless slave for obvious reasons.) It can be cute, cool, funny, quirky, nerdy, whatever. You want it? It's yours, my friend, as long as you feed it enough love and attention. Everyone's so hellbent on pointing fingers at Gardevoir/Gallade's Pokedex entries that they forget what the rest of the line is about: emotional bonding. It's a theme in Pokemon and doubly so with the Ralts line. You spoil that little Ralts you found that one day with affection and before you know it that thing's doing the same to you as a future evolution as a way of saying "Thanks." Every individual Ralts or Kirlia or whatever can be tailored to your personality and how you want it to be. This doesn't apply to only the Ralts line but just about any Pokemon.
