>>39157167Pretty good games but I think people overrate just how good they are. As a remake they tried to remake Johto faithfully, the problem with this is that they also recreated a lot of problems the original games had. The distribution is still shitty (though the safari zone is kind of nice), the level scaling is still really awkward by the end, and Kanto still feels really uninteresting and could have been given new content. They are still excellent games, but it's a shame GF didn't reflect more on GS' design flaws and put more thought into balance and design.
