The city based on Boston is the largest city, and the only real one at that, but even then, its split between “historical” and “modern”. The region is very proud of heritage and roots, so many of the themes of the game would come from that. Additionally, being a very rural and nature based region, they aren’t found of people who come in and want to industrialize.
The Pokémon in the region (I currently have 151 planned but I’m gonna take it up to 200 cause I have so many ideas) are all mostly based on life from Mass, with a few other designs thrown in (like an Ice/Fire Thermometer Giraffe or a Fairy/Fighting Lollipop brawler). The starters are a black bear (Grass), a snake (Fire) and a lobster (Water). I’m on vacation and don’t have my computer so I don’t have many of my digital drawings, so have this funky Ice/Electric lighthouse, Illuminice.
Many routes are very wilderness-y- dirt paths through forests and grasslands, with autumn trees and covered bridges. Streams that peacefully babble, birds chirping all over. There’s also rough mountains and cold tundras, too.
Towns (names still needing to be done) include the starting town based on my own hometown in Southern Mass, Boston, Cape Cod (a quiet beach city at the very westernend of the region), Springfield (a rustic city that’s not the wealthiest but it has a lot of history), Salem (spooky ghost town with witches and magic), and Rutland (a typical side town in a region, also home to its own traditons and history) just to name some I’ve decided to include.
My idea for the post game is an island that’s home to the “Battle Boardwalk”, a boardwalk full of shops, trades, mini games and Battle Facilities.
