I disagree with this list because Gen 5's greatest strengths are only relative to other Pokemon games. A limited regional dex with the highest number of new Pokemon is novel from the perspective that no game after Gen 1 does so, but for someone entering the series for the first time, it means nothing. What would make the limited dex more compelling than later games that offer more Pokemon to catch, meaning more variety, and allows you better to customize yourself and enhance the RPG elements of the game.
Same with the PWT in BW2. Why would a newcomer to the series care about a bunch of characters that mean nothing to them? It's objectively worse than the Battle Frontier in that respect and is only seen as valuable due to its inclusion of old characters, aka meaning it's only has appeal due to it being related to Pokemon and not something that exists as inherently "good"
