What gives barn owls a distinctive appearance is their pale face and big black eyes resembling a mask with oblique eyes slits and a long nose. Decidueye has none of this. The coloring of the wings is just the same as its pre-evolutions, it has nothing to do with what it's based on. Even the feet go from orange (typically pink/orange in barn owls) to white.
