I've noticed that Meditite is some kind of gym stowaway in rse and remakes.
It first appears with some battle girls in the fighting type gym, wich makes sense since it is a fighting type, but later both the electric and fire type gyms also have a battle girl with a Meditite that knows thunder punch and fire punch respectively.
Later in the psychic gym there are hex maniacs that have Meditite or Medicham depending on the versions.
Sadly there was no ice type gym in Hoenn for a Meditite that knows ice punch... until DP where the fucking leader had a Medicham that knew the move. The psychic E4 member also had a Medicham. They were both replaced for other Pokemon in Platinum though.
