It was insane, from the merchandise infesting every store to convincing my parents to take me to watch Pokémon 2000 even if I didn't understand shit. I also got my first Pokémon game, Blue, that trip. I came back with the knowledge that Digimon would be released soon in Mexico and we started hating it preemptively hahaha.
It was a magical moment of my life and I'm sure no Pokémon Go fag will be able to match.
