>>53567461You start off with a team of mostly just one type, mostly fire pokemon in Wildfire, water in Tempest, and...electric iirc in Radiance.
Thankfully once linking all three you can use all the pokemon from the other games, besides those that are in the active squad on the other games.
Also friend codes, which have been changed in the translations so be sure to check that out if you play them, the ones listed online will not work, but all the codes are in the game, they're just listed in a different area in the main menu.
