A new study on Wobbuffet has scientist believing that the potential reason on why Wobbuffet barely make sudden movements and can endure various attacks may involve encounters with Hydreigon in older times. Due to Hydreigon reacting violently towards sudden movements, this may have caused Wobbuffet to start developing the behavior to rarely move much and evolve to take on any hits with counterattacks while sustaining little damage. More research is required to confirm this theory, however.
