VGC is an afterthought to an afterthought at TPC. While I think it has a lot of potential and could be really big if hidden proper support, this is obviously very far from reality. Furthermore, legalised cheating would alienate most casual fans.
To be honest I’ve been browsing through the reactions and I’m a little shocked how common views like this are. So many people going on about “accessibility”, to argue that catching, raising (and trading) Pokémon are aspects to be severely simplified if not downright removed - as if they’re not integral part of playing the game. Yeah it can take a fair amount of time to get a team with perfect stats. That’s the point. That’s part of the competition. Sorry you’ve grown accustomed to cheating and were unaware you’re actively stabbing every honest, hardworking competitor in the back.
