Not at all, I've said said already that the Crash and Spyro remakes have caused people to conflate the two. Even the wikipedia editors are getting them switched around.

By definition, they're remakes. By wikipedia's own definition according to their article on video game remakes, and by definition of "remake" in any legitimate dictionary. They're remakes.

I'm just pointing out the article itself makes a small reference to them being recognized as remakes by an institution within the industry.

Assuming OP bought off ebay, just return it and find a real copy. Or maybe take the other anon's advice and play an emulator, since you're apparently unwilling to pay for an authentic copy. Or a good scaler, for that matter. I can see your squiggly pixels despite the awful picture.

I had its fair share of terrible designs and terrible balancing decisions--Tyranitar stands out especially. But only the other hand, it's completely changed how some Pokemon are played(Garchomp) and even elevated them straight out of untiered(Beedrill.)

Megas are great conceptually, just the execution is a little bit lacking, but only a little. Also, mid-battle transformations are fucking cool.
