Not counting any Red Gyarados, I have seen over 25 shinies in my day (the first being a pink Nidorina in Gold). Currently, I'm not really hunting for anything, just hoping that eventually I'll come across a shiny, so wish me luck! The last shiny I caught was a Roselia I found in Diamond WAAAAAAAAY back in March of 2008, that I have since evolved and transferred to HeartGold (as seen in pic related). I don't remember why I caught it with a Master Ball (maybe I was low on pokeballs and didnt want to lose it?), but it has been a favorite of mine ever since.

I don't much like the idea of chaining because I like shinies better when I don't expect to see them.

I can't remember which 3rd gen game it was, but in the pokedex description of Roselia it mention that on exremely rare occasions you will see one with strange colors. After seeing that, it became my mission to eventually find one. I had given up all hope until pic related happened, now I can safely say I already have my dream shiny. My next goal I supppose is to encounter a shiny Reuniclus (my favorite 5th gen Pokemon)
