>>43005663I actually have an explanation about this.
You see, more often than not, when the application process goes through, its usually people who are relatively new to 4chan and to boards applied to because of inner circle stuff.
These applicants and newbloods don't usually know how 4chan works and thus when they get their first taste of power, they go full ham and start doing their job either "too well" or they just go ham and start deleting stuff that they don't like.
Those who go in at full speed get de-energized after the mods smack them on the penis and lose their luster over time; the ones that go in and cause drama by rocking the boat by being massive selfish cunts get brapped on by the users, and then likewise the mods. The newbloods also try to be cool with the mods and be like "h-hey guys, c-can we hang out at lunch?" not realizing that their position is actually more so of a temporary one that most fail through the first season.
Its actually pretty rare than a good janny that understands 4chan and their board actually exists. We are lucky at /vp/, because our staff box has always been chill post 2017 flooding, the only problem with moderation here is that, like since 2012, there is simply no night time moderation. You can even tell the exact time the mods go to bed and the adult swim of /vp/ begins.
However; good jannies don't stay jannies forever, after a few good seasons, they get an offer to be higher than that, and we sadly lose them and have to roll the dice with the newbloods once again and hope that we don't get an absolutely ultra faggot, or someone who doesn't understand why they can't downvote a post.
