Lost Pidgey to Team Rocket in Mt. Moon
Lost Beedrill to Rival at Nugget Bridge (I forgot about the battle oops)

Grinded up Zubat and Spearow only for them BOTH to get crit 1-shot by a Karate Chopping Mankey.
Frustrated and impatient, I abused speed-up and accidentally killed both of my Rattata in grinding...
I calmed down, miraculously caught an Abra, and got it and Magikarp evolved.
Ivysaur was VERY overleveled, since I had to use it to get the other Pokemon up to par, so I decided not to use it against Misty.
The road to gym 3 was uneventful, but had a lot of trouble catching wild Pokemon.
With now 5 failed encounters, the only one I managed to get was another Spearow, who evolved and is pulling its weight.
