Before I ever saw the anime, before I ever played the games, one of my very first exposures to Pokemon around 21 years ago was this card. It among others were at a local comic shop I used to go to often were being sold there. I bought him and a few others, and found out about the anime of it a day or two later. By the end of the year, I had myself a copy of Pokemon Yellow, and the rest is history.
To this day, I still have a fondness for this card, and the cubone line as a whole too.
