>>38690673>Because rides from the moment you get them give you unlimited access to any area "blocked" by an HM hazard while HM moves depend on you having the pokemon and the move taught to one. So you could go down route 13 and 14 and not get a single of the surf or cut items or patches of grass if you didnt have a pokemon with the move, but with rides you'd have access to them anyway.But isn't that just going back to the old system?
