After the death of both my Sandslash and my Crobat, I said fuck it and finally decided throw Klang's stupid ass out of my party and replace it with my Skarmory, Burden. He won a surprise battle against Virizion so he's okay in my book. I got a lucky catch on Route 12 with Heracross and it got an immediate spot on my team. The sixth spot went to a Seviper I caught, partly because I had just lost a poison type, partly because it required minimal grinding.
So, I entered Drayden's Gym, fought the first trainer to see what level I was expected to be at, grinded, and then came back.
>fight the next trainer>heracross ded>fight the next trainer>jellicent ded>fight the next trainer>seviper dedI took a shameful trip back to Undella Bay to catch a replacement Water Pokémon. Klang weaseled his way back onto the team, too. After a stressful gym leader battle, it's over.
