Kieran cared so much about Ogerpon cause he saw himself and his desires in it - a misunderstood outcast who is feared because of its strength. He then shifted his obsession to the MC cause he could project his desires even more onto them.
Technically not a Kiki headcanon but related to him: Drayton had a crush on Kiki before he changed. One of the reasons why Drayton was so bitter towards him was because he was unhappy about his changes in personality and looks because he effectively lost the person he had a crush on. Not that he ever would've admitted it.
Meta theory (him being aware he's just an NPC and that Florian/Juliana is the literal MC) is semi plausible.
And my most schizo headcanon: The child who gave the professor of "our" timeline the white book was Kiki from another timeline. He was the main character in that timeline. We (or Terapagos??) intercepted his fate as MC in "our" timeline.
