>>46035705OP here, I don't think there's anything terribly exciting about it and I was actually pretty happy about Fairy, it's a decent concept and a buff for some pokemon I like. Whether a Light-type was planned and scrapped is independent of how you or I feel about the idea.
Fairy covers all my bases so I'm ambivalent to it.
