now that someone actually asked me what my game's about it got me thinking and yes, i do realize how idea guy-ish this is gonna sound but i wanna post it somewhere before i doze off
tl;dr In the nearby future, a trainer ends up waking a long-lost legendary from its slumber which is like the collective battle spirit of all living creatures. Eventually, it goes out of control and war ensues, everything goes to shit.
In a last-ditch effort a group of trainers/scientists are sent back in time to capture and contain the beast before shit hits the fan. These are the "evil" team's admins and leader. By using their knowledge of technology and future events they present themselves as prophets and heads of a cult (yes, very original, I know) in an attempt to gain as much influence as they can so they can carry out the meat of their plans.
Because of their circumstances they see battling as disgraceful, ugly and something you only do out of necessity and also part of the reason why the legendary had gone berserk in the first place, hence why another part of their activities is to discourage people from using Pokemon for battling altogether.
Plot happens, the legendary wakes up earlier than expected and then everyone has to team up to defeat it and the bad guys realize that maybe they should've been spending all that time on preparing people to fight against it as opposed to trying to avoid it/handle it themselves. I haven't really planned out the details yet, but you get the gist of it.
too fangame-y? y/n?
