Castform, Makuhita, and Shupet all have much more traditional eyes, where as coin-mon has eyes that just look like lifeless coins
If anything I'd say it has Shinx pupils, but they look better with the whites of the eyes around them
Even object mons like Bronzong seem to have more lifelike eyes to me
The closest Mon in my opinion is meltan
As for the color palette, I wouldn't say that's distinct of any generation in particular
